Estudio de caso adopción de tecnologías de agricultores prodesal localidad de Curepto, VII Región del Maule

Abstract

El estudio se realizó en la comuna de Curepto a una muestra de agricultores del grupo Prodesal con el objetivo de determinar si factores como edad, nivel educacional, tamaño predial, participación en cursos, entre otros, tiene alguna implicancia en pequeños agricultores del programa Prodesal pertenecientes a la localidad de Curepto al momento de adoptar algún tipo de tecnología. Para el diseño de la investigación se consideró una metodología cuantitativa de tipo descriptiva interpretativa en el que se aplicó un instrumento para recopilar información y asi conocer aspectos relacionados al nivel socioeconómico y de los predios que poseen los 32 agricultores que componen la muestra. Para el análisis de los datos recopilados se utilizó el programa estadístico SPSS, el cual arrojó las frecuencias y sus respectivos porcentajes en cada una de las variables. Los resultados indican que la edad promedio es de 56,2 años; el 78,1% posee estudios de nivel básico, el 75% de los agricultores presenta tamaños prediales menor o igual a 5 hectáreas, el 84,4% manifiesta estar participando constantemente en cursos de capacitación. Sin embargo no se encontró una relación entre los factores (edad, nivel educacional, tamaño predial, participación en cursos) y aquellos agricultores adoptantes de tecnologías, lo que nos indica que existen otras variables que están influenciando en la toma de decisión sobre la adopción tecnológica en pequeños agricultores de Prodesal./ABSTRACT: The study was done to a group sample of farmers in the community of Curepto of the group Prodesal with the objective of determining if factors such as age, educational level,property size, course attendance, among others, have an impact in minor farmers of the program Prodesal from Curepto when they incorporate some type of technology. To design the investigation we considered a quantitative methodology of the interpretative descriptive type in which an instrument was applied to gather information and to get to know aspects related to the socioeconomic level of the properties that have the 32 farmers of the sample. For the data analysis of the information gathered we used the statistic program SPSS, which provided us with the frequencies and the corresponding percentages on each one of the variables. The results indicate that the average age is 56,2 years old; the 78,1% has a basic level of education, the 75% of the farmers have propriety of 5 hectares or less, the 84,4% expressed they were constantly attending courses of preparation. However, a relationship between these aspects was not found (age, educational level, size of the propriety, course attendance) and those farmers that incorporated technology, which indicates that there are other variables that are influencing that minor farmers incorporate technologies in Prodesal.
