Evaluación de la aplicabilidad de la metodología CORINE Land Cover con base en el catastro vegetacional de la corporación nacional forestal para la provincia de Talca en la región del Maule, Chile

Abstract

La metodología CORINE Land Cover (CLC) permite la caracterización de las coberturas naturales y antropizadas del territorio para contribuir con el mejoramiento de la administración de los recursos naturales y el ordenamiento territorial. Teniendo en cuenta esto, en el presente trabajo se plantea realizar una evaluación del nivel de aplicabilidad de la metodología CLC a partir de la información del Catastro Vegetacional de la Corporación Nacional Forestal (CONAF) actualmente vigente para la provincia de Talca. Para lograr esto se realizó un análisis del territorio a través del estudio de información oficial y así formar visión contextual del territorio en análisis, su condición base y sus particularidades. Basado en esto, se definieron los ámbitos temáticos de: Actividades económicas, Manejo y aprovechamiento de los recursos naturales y Gestión del riesgo por amenazas naturales. Para la evaluación de aplicabilidad se tomaron los principales criterios establecidos por la Metodología CLC, siendo estos: Escala de Mapeo, Unidad de área y tamaño mínimo de unidad de mapeo y la Nomenclatura. Finalmente, a través de una matriz se evaluó la aplicabilidad de la Metodología CLC con base al Catastro Vegetacional de la CONAF en la Provincia de Talca, obteniendo como resultado que la aplicabilidad es posible en un 92%, aunque se necesitan realizar ajustes como completar datos faltantes de cobertura y espacialización de las especies mencionadas dentro de la capa shape del catastro actualmente vigente, ya que al tratar de hacerlo sobre el archivo vectorial shape del Catastro Vegetacional, hay unas imprecisiones que dificultan llegar a un nivel superior con la Metodología CLC./ABSTRACT: The CORINE Land Cover methodology (CLC) allows the Characterization of the natural and anthropized coverages of the territory to contribute to the improvement of the natural resources management and territorial ordering. Considering this, in the present work it is proposed to carry out an evaluation of the level of applicability of the CLC methodology, based on information from the Vegetational Cadastre of the National Forestry Corporation (CONAF) currently in force in the province of Talca. To achieve this, an analysis of the territory was carried out through the study of official information and thus to form contextual vision of the territory under analysis, its base condition and its particularities. Based on this, the thematic areas of: Economic activities, Management and use of natural resources and Risk management by natural threats were defined. For the evaluation of applicability, the main criteria established by the CLC Methodology were taken, being these: Mapping Scale, Unit of area and minimum size of mapping unit and Nomenclature. Finally, through a matrix, the applicability of the CLC Methodology based on the CONAF Vegetative Cadastre in the Province of Talca was evaluated, obtaining as a result that the applicability is possible in 92%, although adjustments such as completing data are necessary Lack of coverage and spatialization of the mentioned species within the shape layer of the current cadastre, since when trying to do it on the vector file shape of the Vegetative Cadastre, there are inaccuracies that make it difficult to reach a higher level with the CLC Methodology.
