Evaluación de cosechadoras cabalgantes en el cultivo del maqui (Aristotelia chilensis (Mol.) Stuntz)

Abstract

El maqui, Aristotelia chilensis (Mol.) Stuntz, es una planta nativa de Chile , cuyo consumo de su fruto, tanto interno como en las exportaciones, ha aumentado en los últimos años, ya que se le ha dado un estatus comercial de súper fruto por su gran capacidad antioxidante. En la búsqueda de la domesticación de esta especie, se han creado 3 variedades comercializables, para las cuales es de real importancia encontrar un sistema de cosecha que permita desarrollar una explotación sustentable en el largo plazo. Por ello se busca adaptar algunos sistemas de cosechas desarrollados para otros cultivos, con el fin de optimizar la cosecha de maqui, siendo parte esencial de las investigaciones. El presente estudio se efectuó durante la temporada 2017-2018, en un hurto clonal de Curicó, Región del Maule. Se compararon parámetros de extracción de fruta de 4 máquinas cabalgantes y la cantidad de fruta que desperdiciaba cada máquina, utilizando como material vegetal los clones existentes en el huerto. La máquina New Holland modelo Braund 9090X Olivar, obtivo un porcentaje de extracción de fruta del 89%, las maquinas Littau Harvester, Korvan 9000 y Oxbo 9000 presentaron una extracción muy baja, siendo la máquina Oxbo 9000 la que presento una extracción de fruto del 60%, siendo entre las tres maquinas la de mejor desempeño. Ya que la máquina New Holland fue la que presento la mayor capacidad de extracción de frutos, se buscó potenciar la velocidad de avance de la maquina a velocidades de 3 y 4 kilómetros por hora, no encontrando diferencias en la cantidad de frutos extraídos por la máquina a las distintas velocidades. Por los buenos resultados de la maquina New Holland se puede decir que sería la indicada para optimizar la cosecha de maqui. /ABSTRACT: The maqui, Aristotelia chilensis (Mol.) Stuntz, is a plant native to Chile, whose consumption of fruit, both internally and in exports, has increased in recent years, since it has been given a commercial status of superfruit for its great antioxidant capacity. In the search of the domestication of this species, 3 commercial varieties have been created, for which it is of real importance to find a harvest system that allows developing sustainable exploitation in the long term. Therefore, it is sought adapt some crop systems developed for other crops, in order to optimize the harvest of maqui, being an essential part of the investigations. The present study was carried out during the 2017-2018 season, in a clonal orchard of Curicó, Maule Region. Fruit extraction parameters of 4 riding machines were compared and the amount of fruit wasted by each machine, using as repetitions the existing clones in the garden. The riding machine New Holland model Braund 9090X Olivar, got a percentage of extraction of fruit of 89%, the riding machines Littau Harvester, Korvan 9000 and Oxbo 9000 presented a very low extraction, being the machine Oxbo 9000 the one that presented an extraction of fruit of the 60 %, being among the three machines the best performer. Since the New Holland machine was the one that presented the highest fruit extraction capacity, it was sought to boost the speed of advance of the machine at speeds of 3 and 4 kilometers per hour, not finding differences in the number of fruits extracted by the machine at different speeds. Due to the good results of the New Holland machine, It can be concluded that it would be the one to optimize the maqui crop.
