Ciberbullying, identidad digital y desregulación emocional en estudiantes secundarios de la región de Maule

Abstract

La presente investigación tiene por objetivo describir la relación entre ciberbullying (perpetradores y victimas), identidad digital y desregulación emocional, y determinar las diferencias de sexo y nivel cursado sobre ciberbullying (perpetradores y victimas) y desregulación emocional en 1259 estudiantes secundarios de la Región del Maule, que cursaban entre séptimo básico a cuarto medio. Se les administró los siguientes instrumentos: En ciberbullying, la escala de agresión entre pares (Jiménez et ál., 2012). En identidad digital se utilizó la escala de percepción de identidad digital (Sohier y Breé, 2017) y la escala de identidad digital (Davis, 2013). Por último, se utilizó en desregulación emocional la escala de dificultades de regulación emocional (Guzmán-González et ál., 2014). A partir de los resultados se observan diferencias significativas entre nivel cursado en perpetradores y víctimas de ciberbullying. En cuanto a sexo existen diferencias significativas en perpetradores y desregulación emocional. Por otro lado, existe una correlación positiva y significativa entre perpetración de ciberbullying e identidad digital, victimización de ciberbullying e identidad digital, perpetración de ciberbullying y desregulación emocional, victimización de ciberbullying y desregulación emocional, y entre desregulación emocional e identidad digital. Por lo tanto, se concluye la importancia de considerar al ciberbullying, a la identidad digital y a la desregulación emocional en los establecimientos educacionales, especialmente en los niveles cursados más bajos, referido a este estudio a 7° y 8° básico, interviniendo tanto con hombres como con mujeres. // ABSTRACT: The objective of this research is to describe the relationship between cyberbullying (perpetrators and victims), digital identity and emotional dysregulation, and to determine sex and school grade level differences on cyberbullying (perpetrators and victims) and emotional dysregulation in 1259 high school students from the Maule Region, from 7th to 4th grade. The following instruments were administered: In cyberbullying, the Aggression Among Peers Scale (Jiménez et ál., 2012). In digital identity two scales were used, the Digital Identity Scale (Sohier and Breé, 2017) and the Digital Identity Scale (Davis, 2013). Finally, the Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale (DERS) was used in emotional dysregulation (Guzmán- González et ál., 2014). From the results, significant differences are observed between school grade level in both victims and perpetrators of cyberbullying. Regarding sex, there are significant differences in perpetrators and emotional dysregulation. On the other hand, there is a positive and significant correlation between cyberbullying perpetration and digital identity, cyberbullying victimization and digital identity, cyberbullying perpetration and emotional dysregulation, cyberbullying victimization and emotional dysregulation, and between emotional dysregulation and digital identity. Therefore, it is concluded that it is important to consider cyberbullying, digital identity and emotional dysregulation in educational establishments, especially at the lowest school grade levels, referring to this study at 7th and 8th grade, intervening with both men as with women.
