Abstract: A list of the fossil plants, in some cases with their description, from the Panguipulli and Tralcan Formations, from the localities Lican Ray, Punta Peters and Cerro Tralcan, from the Lake District (72 degrees 15' S and 39 degrees 30'/39 degrees 45' W), Xth Region, Chile, is presented. The flora is composed of 27 species of the following genera: Hepatica indet., Neocalamites, Asterotheca, Cladophlebis, Gleichenites, Dicroidium, Johnstonia, Lepidopteris, Pterophyllum, Pseudoctenis, Sphenobaiera, Ginkgoites, Phoenicopsis, Rissikia, Heidiphyllum, Gen. et sp. indet., Linguifolium and Taeniopteris; a new species of Astrerotheca and two new species of Pterophyllum are also described. The quantitative composition of the three localities is analyzed showing that they are quite different, in spite of being of similar age and geographically close to each other; it is suggested that the difference is basically paleoenvironmental.
