| Abstract: | Species of the genera Heidiphyllum (H. elongatum), Rissikia [R. media (Tenison-Woods) Townrow] and Desmiophyllum [D. cacheutense (Kurtz) nov. comb., D. sp.] found in the Triassic of northern Chile and southern Argentina are described. A brief discussion of the history and validity of the generic name Desmiophyllum for long and narrow, parallel-veined leaves lacking cuticle is given to reassess its use. |
