Sistema electrónico para control de pasajeros en la unidades de la división industrial de las empresas Pullman

Abstract

Las empresas mineras, al estar normalmente en la cordillera, deben contratar empresas de transporte tanto para mover a los trabajadores dentro de la mina como para llevar y traer a los trabajadores a las ciudades en los cambios de turno. La División Industrial de las Empresas Pullman se dedica a satisfacer esta necesidad y en su afán por ofrecer un mejor servicio, siempre está investigando y aplicando tecnología de punta en su flota. El siguiente informe de memoria presenta un sistema de autentificación de personas utilizando el código de barras bidimensional impreso en el reverso de las nuevas cédulas de identidad chilenas y códigos de barra presentes en la credencial de trabajador de la minera los pelambres. Está orientado a proveer a la empresa Pullman Industrial de una herramienta diferenciadoras a la hora de postular a licitaciones de transporte, ofreciendo a la empresa minera la posibilidad de saber exactamente la lista de pasajeros que han abordado un bus a través de un portal web. El sistema está desarrollado pensando que en una siguiente iteración será extendido, y será integrado con otros sistemas como GPS, transmisión de datos GPRS y otros medios de autentificación como tarjetas de proximidad y huella digital./ ABSTRACT: Mining companies, being located normally in mountain regions, pay external transport to move their workers within the mine, and also move them to and from the cities they live. The Industrial Division of Pullman Companies is dedicated to satisfy this transport necessity being one of its goal to offer a top-quality transportservice to mining companies. For this, Pullman Companies has been continuosly doing applied research to use the top technology on its service. The primarily goal of this diploma thesis is to provide a top technology system for the Indutrial Division of Pullman Companies that differentiates it from other companies in transport licitations. This work includes a people-authentication system that uses the PDF-417-code printed on the new Chilean identity cards and/or the bar codes lying in the workers credentials. Also, a Web Interface was created to give to the mining company the possibility of knowing the list of passengers who have boarded a particular bus and other related funcionalities. The whole system was developed thinking that in a following iteration it will be extended integrating it with GPS, data transmission GPRS, and other authentication systems like proximity cards and fingerprint.
