Tecno-eustrés, el lado positivo del tecnoestrés: sus causas y efectos en profesores por la nueva modalidad de teletrabajo

Abstract

La presente investigación enmarca las causas y efectos del tecno-eustrés en docentes chilenos debido a la nueva modalidad de clases online. En este estudio se analiza como la expectativa de esfuerzo, expectativa de rendimiento, confiabilidad y balance trabajo familia contribuyen en las causas del tecno-eustrés. También se analizaron los efectos del tecno-eustrés en los docentes, evaluando el comportamiento contraproducente y rendimiento. El estudio se basó en 219 encuestas a profesores de diferentes niveles educacionales, desde prebásica hasta docentes de enseñanza superior. Para realizar el modelo, los resultados se procesaron en PLS-SEM. Asimismo, se analizaron las diferencias de los modelos estructurales según género y nivel educacional de los docentes. Los resultados reflejan que la expectativa de esfuerzo, expectativa de rendimiento y el balance trabajo familia son causas significativas en los niveles de tecno-eustrés en los docentes. En cuanto a confiabilidad, no se encontró influencia como causa de tecno-eustrés. En relación con los efectos del tecno-eustrés, comportamiento contraproducente y rendimiento son significativos. Los análisis demuestran que el tecno-eustrés generado por las causantes mencionadas, producen efectos positivos en docentes aumentando su rendimiento, así como también reducen los comportamientos contraproducentes, favoreciendo a una mejor toma de decisiones de las instituciones en cuanto a los docentes chilenos y su mejor eficiencia en las clases online. Se incentiva la posibilidad de que se amplíe el estudio, utilizando los mismos causantes ya que existen investigaciones previas que difieren con nuestros resultados. // ABSTRACT: The present investigation frames the causes and effects of techno-eustress in chilean teachers due to the new modality of online classes. In this study, it is analyzed how expectation of effort, expectation of performance, reliability and work-family balance contribute to the causes of techno-eustress. The effects of techno-eustress on teachers were also analyzed, evaluating counterproductive behavior and performance. The study was based on 219 surveys of teachers of different educational levels, from pre-basic to higher education teachers. To make the model, the results were processed in PLS-SEM. Likewise, the differences of the structural models according to gender and educational level of teachers were analyzed. The results reflect that the expectation of effort, expectation of performance and the work-family balance are significant causes in the levels of techno-eustress in teachers. Regarding reliability, no influence was found as a cause of techno-eustress. In relation to the effects of techno-eustress, counterproductive behavior and performance are significant. The analyzes show that the techno-eustress generated by the aforementioned causes produces positive effects on teachers, increasing their performance, as well as reducing counterproductive behaviors, favoring better decision-making by the institutions regarding Chilean teachers and their better efficiency in online classes. The possibility of expanding the study, using the same causes, is encouraged since there are previous investigations that differ with our results.
